Gift Set of Mugs (set of two)

This set of two handmade mugs was commissioned as a gift for a pair of new parents. The pieces are glazed in a jewel cranberry tone to depict the joy of bright cheer the new born is sure to bring to their lives, as the words maa and paa visually establish their new identities in a celebratory golden finish. The bottom is left unglazed to show off the clay body - a symbolism of the old merging with the new, the finished meeting with the raw. 

The underside carries the inscription - Estbd 2026 (not photographed here, only for the parents and the child to know and rejoice).
