Winter in Bloom

Wheel thrown bowl with delicate floral relief work. This piece represents the creative nourishment extended by the artist residency in Andretta, and is complemented by the visual comfort that nature's blossoms provided. The surface design was achieved by custom made white glaze flowing over the terracotta body to look as if a winter frost was taking over the earth, a nod to the concluding season of the residency.
