What are handmade product discrepencies?

Handmade ceramics may have slight variations in color, shape, and finish due to the artisanal process.

Are all ceramics identical?

Each piece is unique, blossomed by a maker's hand and slight differences are part of the charm of handmade ceramics.

Why choose handmade ceramics?

Each piece holds the maker's intention, soul and story. By choosing a handmade piece, you're choosing life itself. Handmade ceramics offer character and individuality that mass-produced items cannot replicate.

Do you take customised order requests?

We do take certain customised requests. We can only confirm those upon seeing the design and quantity required. The minimum timeline is 4 weeks. We take 50% non-refundable advance and the balance 50% prior to shipping. Email us for customisation requests at mittiandmind@gmail.com. Customised orders cannot be cancelled once placed.

Can I exchange or return a piece once I've placed an order?

Unfortunately, we do not accept returns, exchanges or cancellations once an order has been placed. However, we do encourage asking any and all questions to a customer's complete satisfaction prior to purchase. Ask away to your heart's sastisfaction!

What causes defects in certain pieces?

The whole process of ceramics is full of variables and imperfections arising due to natural, uncontrollable factors. These imperfection could be small cracks, glaze defects, pinholes, tiny air bubbles, or slight warping, which can be attributed to the delicate balance of temperature, moisture and handling during production. In handmade ceramics, they create a sense of authenticty and add life to each piece, telling the story of the piece's creation , highlighting it's handmade origins unlike a machine's precision. Hence in handmade ceramics we embrace and celebrate flaws and tiny imperfections, mirroring the humans that made them or will embrace them!

How should one care for handmade ceramics?

Though most pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe, handmade pieces are delicate. To maintain their beauty, avoid extreme temperatures and clean with a soft cloth. Watch out for pieces marked as food safe and use only those for the function of F&B.

Why are handmade ceramics so expensive?

Unlike an assembly line production, handmade ceramics are usually made in smaller batches by a single potter working on multiple pieces and it's not only the high cost of material involved but also their time, and skill, that's involved in the costing. Additionally, the intrinsic value of connecting with the human touch involved in a small-batch soulful piece is comparitively higher.
